Sustainability is the fundamental driver of our company policy and culture. We are committed to supporting the acceleration of green energy future in every market, customers, and industry partners we work within a country. India is aiming to decarbonize its electricity sector to transition towards a clean energy future. Renewable energy is one of the key pillars to usher this paradigm shift. However, at the same time, power system stability and reliability are crucial parameters to be ensured while integrating a large quantum of variable RE based power. By installing the first 10 MW/10 MWhr grid-scale energy storage system and operating it for over a year in the distribution company, AES has provided the substantial answers to this challenge. Our energy storage platform will catalyze the growth of this innovative technology in the country. We are committed to bringing in more innovative technologies that can support the growth of carbon free sources of generation in India.
